The objective of this course is to provide students with transferable skills to better understand and present information, within their everyday lives and work environment.

On completing this course students will:
- understand the systematic steps of problem solving
- be able to read and interpret research papers
- be better equipped to present research findings clearly and concisely
- understand the principles behind indexes within tables and charts
- be able to choose indexes and tables which showcase their research findings
- be able to choose charts which successfully highlight their research results
- understand the basic principles of inferential statistics
- be able to integrate information from simple pieces of information
- build models of how the world works
